PVT Jacob Scott  Malcolm
PVT Jacob S. Malcolm, 18, of Hedgesville, WV, went to be with our Father in Heaven on April 12, 2018.

Born August 20, 1999 in Brandon, FL, he is the son of Bobbi Jo Rubright.

Jacob was a member of New Convent Christian Church. Jacob attended Musselman High School and then graduated from Mountaineer Challenge Academy in June 2016. He had worked at Food Lion then enlisted to serve in the US Army. He was stationed at FT. Polk, Louisiana as an infantry rifleman.

Jacob loved to hunt, fish, mud bog, four-wheel, hang with his friends, and his beloved dog, Henry. Jacob had a love for life and people. Always bringing smile to everyone’s face and he was never afraid of anything.

He is survived by his mom, Bobbi Jo Rubright (David DeHaven); brother Shane Rubright of Hedgesville, step-father, Bryan; step sister Lindsey of Florida; best friends, Dakota, Savannah, Jonas, Autumn, Austin, Darla, Kayla, Clayton Wayne, Eddie, and Mikey; maternal grandparents, James and Terry Malcolm, Kathy and Dennis Shell; great-grandmother, Ethel Hutzler; paternal grandparents, Jack and Gerda Davis; and many many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Steve Wymer officiating.

Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery with full military honors, including pallbearers..
