Obituary for Parthenia M. ""Parky"" Mead (Weaver)

Parthenia M. “Parky” Mead, 89, formerly of Boardman, Ohio, passed into the arms of her Lord, Monday morning, January 16, 2017 at her residence in Martinsburg, WV. She was born November 2, 1927 in Sugarcreek, Ohio, the daughter of Melvin C. and Alta Lehman Weaver. She retired in 1987 from the Dollar Bank, now PNC, Youngstown, Ohio office, having been employed as a trust clerk for many years. She was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Martinsburg and a former member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Boardman, Ohio.
She is survived by son Jerry Mead and wife Linda of Martinsburg, with whom she made her home; son Gary Mead of Reston, VA; granddaughter Rebecca Deweese and husband Robert of Bunker Hill, WV; grandson Gregory Mead and wife Miriam of Bunker Hill WV; grandson Geoffrey Mead and wife Heather of Hedgesville, WV; four great-grandchildren William, Erin, Melody and Sasha Mead; brother Richard Weaver of Middletown, Ohio; sister-in-law, June Hoelzel, of Boardman, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dewey; brother Ingoldsby; and sisters Hazel and Linda.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, 601 Albert Street, Martinsburg, WV, with Rev. Dr. Jerry Mead, pastor and Mr. Greg Mead, pastoral intern officiating, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 471 Mathews Road, Boardman, Ohio, with Rev. Mark Bell officiating. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.
