Obituary for Cornell Edward "Dirty Red" Lindsey
Cornell Edward "Dirty Red" Lindsey, 67, of Martinsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born November 11, 1948 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Lindsey and Genevieve Bailey Lindsey Hosby, and step-father, James Hosby.
He was a member of the Destiny Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria L. Downing Lindsey; his children, Heather Puller, Willie Hart, Anita Inman, Sean Burns, and Brandon Lindsey; three step-children, Courtney McAllister, Shawn Downing, and Whitney Byers; twenty one grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Lindsey, Jr., Glenn Hosby, and Kelvin Hosby; two sisters, Carla Hosby and Vickie Schenck; and mother-in-law, Julia Downing.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Destiny Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Norris officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
