Betty Dodge McDonald, 82, of Hedgesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016 with her children and loved ones at her side at the home of her daughter and son-in-law where she had lived for the last 8 years.
Born August 24, 1933 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late George C. and Virginia Ruth Chrisman Dodge.
She was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen C. McDonald and Roger L. McDonald; three daughters, Linda McDonald, Bonny L. Donivan, and Dawn Linton (a granddaughter whom she raised from birth); 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Billy Dodge; and one sister, Elsie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harold L. McDonald; and one daughter, Rose Mary Siford.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Whitford officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
