Obituary for George Edward Skinner Sr.

George Edward Skinner, Sr., 87, of Charles Town, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at his home, while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice. Born July 31, 1928, in Cabin John, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ellis Edward Skinner and Virginia Elizabeth Keller Skinner.
George served in the Army during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Commendation Medal. He was self employed in the construction business.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Eaton Skinner, at home; 3 sons: George Skinner, Jr., James Skinner, and Raymond Skinner, all of Charles Town, and 2 sisters: Ethel Franklin, of Berlin, Pennsylvania, and Ruth Murphy, of Rockwood, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Swope.
Services and interment will be private.
