Condolence: Both myself some 40 years ago, and my son several years ago, were privileged to be students of Mr. Horowicz at the Talmudical Academy. He was a master teacher who not only imparted information, but challenged his students to broaden their horizons and to see the different sides of various issues. His course "Problems of Democracy" was a highlight of my high school years which I remember fondly to this day. My condolences to the family.

Condolence: I’m so sorry for your loss, may you find comfort in what the Bible says at John 5:28: “Do not be amazed at this, the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (Jesus) and come out.” This has brought me so much comfort to know I will see my love ones again. The only thing that will remove the pain we feel is seeing that person again.

Condolence: At 52 years old and in a busy practice, I find it hard to conjure up images from the past. I need to "squint" through my memory banks to recall events, places and people from my high school and early years. But for some reason, Mr. Horowicz stands out among my memories. Mr. Horowicz was a class act and with an unpretentious manner he guided us through our studies. I remember a confident, honest teacher who was able to tell me I was wrong without making me feel stupid and who built my confidence in those days. I've come to appreciate great, talented people. Mr. Horowicz was one of the great ones. G-d bless

Condolence: I had the privilege of being in Mr. Horowicz's class for two years in Talmudical Academy. He was like no teacher I ever had. He truly taught me how to learn and enjoy history. Whenever he gave a lesson it was never just a subject to him but a story. Every lesson was accompanied by one of his personal examples, brochures from places he'd been, and even an occasional teddy bear. One had the feeling of not only learning but also getting to know him through the class. The lessons were fun and interactive. We would spend days building a government or partaking in a fake stock market.
Everybody loved him. Even after he left TA people would still talk about him. Whenever he visited people would come from running from all over the campus to see him. On school trips, the class would even call him up just to talk with him again. His death affected the whole High school and it is a true testament to his character that even after two years of absence he still has such a profound affect on us. We miss him and are grateful for the times we had with him.

Condolence: Hello,
I am a student in Talmudical Academy of Baltimore. I had the privilege of having Mr. Horowicz as a teacher for two years. Mr. Horowicz was a unique teacher who taught the material presented in class with a clarity and always was willing to answer questions on whatever was being asked. His control of the class was legendary, as he instituted a "plus and minus" reward system which had the whole class involved in his lesson plans. My school admired Mr. Horowicz and everyone spoke about how he was an amazing teacher who was extremely knowledgeable in the material being taught and for delivering a captivating class. Our entire school was shocked at the loss of our esteemed teacher. His fascinating classes dedicated to the history of the Holocaust made a tremendous impression on me which I will remember for years. Mr. Horowicz might have passed on but the lessons he taught me will never fade away.

My class and I extend our consolation for your loss.

Respectfully,
Pacey Wetstein
