Obituary for Roland Douglas Miller
Roland Douglas Miller, 80, died February 2, 2016 at home with his loving wife Gertrude (Trudy) Miller by his side. His wife and son Chris were his caregivers throughout his illness.
Born November 21, 1935 in Hedgesville, WV, he was the son of the late Roland L. Miller and Hazel Mason Miller.
Doug worked at Dunn and Seibert for a number of years, owned, and operated Baker Heights Tire and retired from Tire Distributors of Winchester, VA. He continued working on his own as a painter and handyman.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Gertrude (Trudy) Corbin Miller, 7 children, Debi Vassallo, Caren Emmert and husband, Scott, Mark Miller and friend, Mary, Cheryl Miller and husband, Merle, Kevin Miller, Shelby Hager and husband, Scott and Chris Miller; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Charlotte Englebright.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Arrangements are being made by Brown Funeral Home.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00PM at Bethel Assembly of God Pastor Arnold Brown officiating.
