Condolence: As a high school classmate, Ed was kind, pleasant and always offered an encouraging word with a smile. He obviously enjoyed his life, family and profession - a life well lived. My husband, Michael, met and spoke with Ed on several occasions at school functions, and each time remarked "Ed is a really good guy", unless - that is - he was doing your IRS audit, in which case you were probably toast! With his service to the US Navy and 30 years with the IRS, he served his Country well. We offer our deepest sympathy to his family.

Condolence: My heart & prayers goes out to the Ed's Family. He was the first Mason I met when I was interviewed at Mt. Nebo Lodge #91 and we started our friendship of brotherhood even though he loves the Steelers and I love the Ravens. Rest In Peace my brother and we shall all meet together one day.

Condolence: I was privileged to have grown up with Ed and train with him as junior fire fighters. I always admired that he seem to enjoy so many things in his life. We are saddened by his passing, but take comfort knowing he enjoyed a wonderful life, centered on his faith, family and friends.

Condolence: Dear Cindy and Family, Jacob and I were very sorry to hear about Ed's passing. He was such a great influence on the boys in scouts. We will always remember how he would personally greet each of the boys when they arrived for the meetings and shake their hands. He was a wonderful asset to the Cub Scout troop. Condolence: May God's blessings and strength be with the family, friends and all who knew Ed. His spirit was so large, even death cannot defeat him. It was a true pleasure to know this man. We will remember him fondly.

Condolence: Cindy and family - Words cannot express how sorry I was to hear about Ed's passing. I didn't know him well but I remember he had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling. You are in my thoughts.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ed Calhoun. I knew him through his many contributions to Berkeley County government. His work on the Berkeley County Fire Board went a long way in bringing that organization professional insight and management.
