Obituary for Thelma Virginia Brawner

Thelma Virginia Brawner, 85 of Brunswick, MD passed away at her daughters home in Waynesboro, PA on Monday, October 17, 2016 under the care of hospice. Born February 17, 1931 in Lovettesville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Hilda Darr. She worked as a seamstress for the Hart’s Sewing Factory. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Marken and husband Jack Brindle of Waynesboro, PA and Gloria Grove and husband Jim of Summit Point, WV, one brother, Carmen Lincks and wife Carrie Ann of Brownsville, MD, one sister, Freida Kidwell and friend Ray Howes of Harpers Ferry, WV, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dempsey Brawner and one daughter, Doris Virginia Shepherd. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
